CE Providers

Providing superior continuing education courses is an aim consistent with the overall educational mission and purpose of both the CE provider and IDCEC.

Presenter's Guide

The IDCEC Presenter's Guide for Interior Design Continuing Education Presentations and Programs has been prepared to help facilitate quality and consistency in continuing education course submissions. It is important that you read and understand this guide; you can facilitate the course review process by following the instructions given.

Course Submission Process

Once IDCEC has your complete application, the IDCEC review process will begin. The review process takes approximately 8-10 weeks. You may not advertise your program as IDCEC-approved until you have officially been notified of approval. Please begin early to allow adequate time for marketing your course appropriately following the IDCEC decision. To ensure accuracy, please review the Presenter's Guide and Review the Course Submission Process.

Writable Forms

All forms referenced in the Presenter's Guide are available for download in Microsoft Word format so that you can easily type directly into them. Additional attachments should not be used to submit the requested information, except copies of your course materials. You must include all information requested on the submission forms, or your course will not be reviewed.

Maintaining Approval

Each course participant is requested to complete a program Evaluation Form at the conclusion of your course. Maintaining your course approval is contingent upon receipt of evaluations. This information is used to assess the course relevancy, quality, classification and presentation methods. IDCEC may, without notice, review approved courses in order to determine appropriateness of course and adherence to policy guidelines.

Requirements for Presenting a Course

IDCEC requires all CE providers to make an administrative commitment to maintain their programs from submission through to their completion and to support the learner services needed to ensure an effective learning environment. If you are a CE provider, please ensure you are familiar with the Requirement for Presenting a Course.
